Daniel Fernández (1980), "MOXAICO"He is a self-taught artist with a long career in the world of graffiti and Urban Art since 1995, when he started spray-painting a wall for the first time, having participated in contests, festivals and events, as a graffiti writer, muralist or juror.

Promoter of graffiti in the province of Almería since its beginnings, with the organisation of exhibitions, workshops, courses, conferences, competitions and festivals, even founding and presiding over the A.J. Vida Urbana (2000-2007) being pioneers, opening doors to urban culture to both society and public administrations.

After finishing his studies in Advertising Graphics (2002), his work began to mutate from WildStyle and Pastelmode to a mural discourse, where the figurative image and realism began to gain prominence as a search for new visual languages. The change of name "COMA" to 'MOXAICO' is mutating, as he develops a mural discourse that is closer to urban art than to the graffiti from which it originates.

In a few years he decided to focus his work on decorating urban environments or private spaces for companies such as Endesa, Cajamar, Kimitec, Aqualia, etc., and for a multitude of public administrations, alternating with more personal work.

The first Medianera del Casco histórico de Almería within the first phase of pedestrianisation (2008), the Endesa de Almería Transformation Centres (2009) and the Almería Exhibition Centre (2010) had great repercussions in the city.

Since then, his work has spread throughout Spain and internationally, in cities such as Berlin (GER), Brussels (BG), Paris (FR), Cancun (MX) and Aalborg (DK), although most of his work has been produced in Spain, particularly in the province of Almería.Among other awards obtained in design, graffiti, urban art or plastic arts, we can highlight the XICertamen Nacional Fernando Quiñones, the International Competition "CICBUNY" Burgos-New York (2011) or two Contemporary Art Awards Alnomalia (2017 and 2019), as well as recognition among the best murals in the world by various prestigious platforms such as StreetArtCities or Streetartoftheyear.

His work is dominated by portraits with a realistic character, figuration and nature, together with the combination of tags and typographies with geometric shapes, influenced by graphic design, with a minimalist and elegant appearance, he continues to collaborate in the organisation and management of events, working on mural decoration, participating in festivals and producing personal work on walls, canvases and other media.
